SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Sheldon Williams Collegiate - School Community Council

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27th, 2020

The Sheldon Williams School Community Council (SCC) will be holding their Annual General Meeting in the Resource Centre at 6:30pm on Tuesday, October 27th. All community members are welcome to attend. The mandate of the SCC is to support parents, students and administrators/teachers in implementing the Sheldon Williams’ Strategic Plan. Meetings occur once per month. The SCC plays an important role in serving as a Forum for parents to discuss strategic issues about student learning outcomes, as well as other key issues facing schools within the purview of the Regina Board of Education (e.g., facilities, student surveys, mental health and wellness issues, meeting the diverse needs of students, COVID-19 prevention strategies, etc.). In general, the SCC is NOT a fundraising forum and relies on volunteer parent donations to help fund and support student initiatives, scholarships, and community engagement.
